Waiting for Snow – Leica M (240)

I’m finally back after taking a few weeks off.  We traveled to Alabama and to New Orleans and just recently got back.  I hope to post some pics from our trip in the coming weeks.

On Friday of last week I got the exciting call from Dale Photo (now called Leica Miami) telling me that I was one of the first to get the new Leica M (240).  I’ve only had a small amount of time to take pics.  Here is one of my first shots.  I could immediately notices substantial improvements in comparison to my Leica M9-P.  This shot was taken at ISO 800 and in my opinion renders skin colors much better than the M9 and has much less noise.  I think I’m going to be very happy with the camera.

I hope to post more pics soon.

Man on Fire

We were recently at the circus and the last act was this guy shooting him self across the circus stage.  What I’m mostly impressed about in this picture is the amount of detail in the crowd.  If you click on the picture you can can see the full-size image.
