It’s amazing what you will see in New Orleans. This is just one of them.

One of the unique things about the Leica M system is its ability to use lenses created over the past 75 years. I recently purchased a Leica 50mm summilux version 1, built-in 1959. Even after 50 years, this lens has phenomenal image quality and unique characteristics.

This picture, taken of Crown Fountain at Millennium Park in Chicago was taken around 5:30 am. My prior picture was taken just 2 hours later. Look at the clouds and you can see the amazing transformation from a cloudy, potentially gloomy day to one filled with sunshine.

I’ve been asked a few times what I carry in my bag. Here is a video showing what I typically carry.
I’m not sure why I was fascinated by this lamp (I posted a prior pic here). Maybe I was just mesmerized by the color of the light and the contrast created between it and the background with my Leica 50mm noctilux.
