Last year I wanted to get a reflection of the mountains and was unsuccessful due to the weather. Here is a picture from last year. The first time I went out this year I was able to get a good reflection but you could not see the mountains due to the dense fog.
Finally, on the third time, I got the shot!
Yesterday we did the Plain of Six Glaciers Trail, an 8 mile hike to the Tea House. It was an absolutely beautiful walk up the mountains and next to glaciers. After the hike, our little girl wanted to stick her feet in the ice cold Lake Louise water for some relaxation.
You might wonder what is going on with the sky in this image. The image was taken early morning and smoke from nearby fires in British Columbia had covered the area. I obviously felt bad about the wild fires but from a photography standpoint it allowed for me to easily take an image in which the foreground was very clear and the background was in a slight haze.
Yesterday’s post, I captured a photographer capturing an image of Moraine Lake. Today, this photographer was capturing an image of Lake Louise and its wonderful reflections. I walking around attempting to capture different views of the clouds and reflection and noticed this gentlemen sitting here. He stayed long enough for me to capture this image.
There is nothing better than waking up and heading out capture a morning sunrise. This morning there was a long of cloud coverage with a very steady breeze. The typical reflection of the mountains on the lake were not present. I noticed this photographer capturing this magnificent moment and was able to capture him in my image. I was able to get his name, Kristopher Schoenleber. He’s a photographer out of New Jersey. His website can be found here. You can also follow him on Facebook here.
