Peekaboo – part 1

I’m going to be extremely busy with work this week therefore I decided to post a series of pics of my baby girl.  Recently, she learned the art of peekaboo.  This seems to be her primary way of socializing with both family and strangers.

Breakfast time

A friend of mine who was inquiring about my new Leica M Monochrom wondered how much post-processing I’m doing?  Truthfully, the past few days I have used Silver Efex Pro 2 for processing.  The pictures straight out of the camera in RAW are a little flat for my liking but you can easily add a little contrast to make the pictures pop.

Our little girl has to be involved in everything we do.  In the mornings for example, she eats her breakfast, and then she eats her mom’s breakfast, and finally she has to eat her daddy’s breakfast.

P.S. I’ve provided a copy of the original for each of these pics.

Let’s go…

I hope in the next few days I can sit down and write a few comments about my thoughts on Leica’s new M camera, the M Monochrom.  I’ve owned it for 3 days and so far I’m amazed at the sharpness and amount of detail in the pics.  Most of all, the ability to shoot at high ISO’s is what has amazed me the most.  This shot was taken at 10,000 ISO!  Yes, it has noise but it’s “noise” that gives the shot texture and also a film look.

Family Friendly?

We were walking through the crowd at the Taste of Madison and out of the corner of my eye I caught these two enjoying time together.  I’m not sure what was stranger, seeing these two showing affection for one another at a family friendly event or that they were lying next to a porta-potty?
