ISO 800 1/90 sec f.95 50mm (Leica M Monochrom, Leica 50mm noctilux, Lightroom 4)
I don’t typically take a picture and immediate process it but we were driving home tonight and as we were crossing the railroad tracks, I noticed the alignment of the tracks and the full moon.
P.S. Another good reason why you should always carry your camera.

It has been a very busy week and will only get worse next week. Hopefully, I can get back to posting pics more frequently in the next few weeks.
We have noticed over the past month, that our baby girl is learning the art of “copycatting”. Here’s an example.
ISO 320 1/125’s 35mm (Leica M Monochrom, Leica 35mm summilux, Lr 4, Aperture 3.3)
If you haven’t noticed, I’ve been taking a lot of pics with my Leica M Monochrom. I’m sure I will eventually pick-up one of my other cameras but right now the Monochrom is glued to my hand.

Twice a year, I participate in the AO North America Foundations Podiatry Basic Course. It’s always an honor to be asked to speak and teach. It’s a busy few days but once in a while I get time to get out and take pics. Here is the fountain at the hotel we are staying at, Hyatt.
ISO 320 1/4000’s f4 35mm ND filter (Leica M Monochrom, Leica 35mm summilux, Silver Efex Pro, Apple Aperture)
A friend of mine who was inquiring about my new Leica M Monochrom wondered how much post-processing I’m doing? Truthfully, the past few days I have used Silver Efex Pro 2 for processing. The pictures straight out of the camera in RAW are a little flat for my liking but you can easily add a little contrast to make the pictures pop.
Our little girl has to be involved in everything we do. In the mornings for example, she eats her breakfast, and then she eats her mom’s breakfast, and finally she has to eat her daddy’s breakfast.
ISO 320 1/250’s f2 35mm (Leica M Monochrom, Leica 35mm summilux, Silver Efex Pro 2, Aperture)
P.S. I’ve provided a copy of the original for each of these pics.
I hope in the next few days I can sit down and write a few comments about my thoughts on Leica’s new M camera, the M Monochrom. I’ve owned it for 3 days and so far I’m amazed at the sharpness and amount of detail in the pics. Most of all, the ability to shoot at high ISO’s is what has amazed me the most. This shot was taken at 10,000 ISO! Yes, it has noise but it’s “noise” that gives the shot texture and also a film look.
