Dog…

I probably should post more pics of our dog.  She’s a 12 year old border collie that has traveled from Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Ohio, and back to Indiana.  She is the most docile dog you would ever meet.  I only wish she was younger so that she would have many more years with our baby girl.  The title to this post is “dog…” because that is all we listen to all day from our baby girls mouth.

Kneel before me

I took this shot almost a year ago during my baby girls baptism.  It was an older church with poor lighting.  I was using my Leica 35mm summicron at f2.0.  The ISO had to be bumped up for the shot and the noise created gives it character, especially in black and white.

Stormy Flight

I just found this picture I took 6 years ago.  I was at the Cleveland Air Show and was using my Canon 5D Mark II and 70-200mm f2.8 with monopod.  The sky was obviously not that dark (edited with Photoshop) but the overcast sky is what allowed me to get the shot.

Coffee talk

Re-post from November 2011

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and black Friday.  We decided to do our shopping online.  No crowds, no stress, same prices.

As I was walking around the Lincoln Memorial with a friend I was trying to find someone interesting to take a picture of.  Eventually, I found this couple enjoying a cup of coffee while resting on the steps of the memorial.  They seemed unaware of everything around them besides each other.

Lost pictures

Every couple of months I go through my pictures trying to find ones that I like but forgot about.  Today’s picture is one of them.

Last summer I was driving around looking for places to take pictures of and came across this old barn.  As I walked towards it, I glanced down and notices these flowers without petals (maybe they weren’t flower, never was very good at botany).
